1964 March USHIO INC. established with capital of ¥12.5 million
1967 May Establishes USHIO AMERICA, INC. (as a lamp sales base) in the United States
1968 September Yokohama Division opens
1970 May Listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE); capital increased to ¥400 million
Establishes Harima Division in Himeji
1971 August Moves head office to Tokyo's Otemachi business district
1974 April Listed on the Second Section of the Osaka Securities Exchange (OSE); capital increased to ¥820 million
1980 September Listed on the first sections of the TSE and OSE (delisted from OSE in January 2010); capital increased to ¥1,540 million

2001 May Establishes USHIO U-Tech (Hong Kong) CO., LTD.(as an industrial machinery sales base; later renamed USHIO LIGHTI NG (HONG KONG) CO., LTD.; liquidated in March 2010) in Hong Kong 
2003 April Acquires Event Audio Visual Group Inc. of the United States (as a base for imaging equipment rental business)
2003 July Establishes USHIO SHANGHAI, INC. (as a lamp sales base) in the People's Republic of China
2004 March Establishes USHIO (SUZHOU) CO., LTD. (as a lamp production and sales base) in the People's Republic of China
2004 April USHIO LIGHTING, INC. and USHIO U-Tech, INC. merge with USHIO U-Tech, INC being the surviving company and the company name being USHIO LIGHTING, INC. 
USHIO OREGON, INC. merges into USHIO AMERICA, INC.
2004 August Establishes CHRISTIE DIGITAL SYSTEMS (SHANGHAI), LTD. (as a digital projector sales base) in the People's Republic of China.
2005 April Establishes HYOGO USHIO LIGHTING, INC. (lamp production base)
2005 July Acquires an equity (50%) in XTREME technologies GmbH of Germany (as a base for development, production, and sales of EUV light sources)
2005 October Acquires NATRIUM S.A. of Poland (as a lamp production and sales base)
2007 July Acquires Vista Controls System, Corp. of the United States (as a base for production and sales of visual information processing systems)
2008 January Acquires  EPITEX, INC. (as an LED production and sales base)
2008 April Establishes USHIO SHENZHEN, INC. (as a lamp sales base) in the People’s Republic of China
 2008 May Acquires 100% equity in XTREME technologies GmbH and makes it a wholly owned subsidiary
2009 July Acquires Necsel Intellectual Property, Inc. of the United States (as a base for development, production, and sales of semiconductor laser)
2009 December Acquires Luminetx Corporation of the United States (as a medical equipment production and sales base; currently CHRISTIE MEDICAL HOLDINGS, INC.)
2010 June  Establishes CHRISTIE DIGITAL SYSTEMS(SHENZHEN) CO.,LTD. (as a base for production of digital imaging equipment) in China
2010 December Acquires 100% equity in Necsel Intellectual Property, Inc. of the United States and makes it a wholly owned subsidiary (as a base for development, production, and sales of semiconductor lasers)
 2011 May Transfers all of its shares of GIGAPHOTON INC. to Komatsu Ltd.
