Ushio’s red multi-beam laser diode for printers wins the Laser Industry Award for Excellent Product in the 17th Industry Award of The Laser Society of Japan
Ushio Inc. (Head Office: Tokyo, President and CEO: Takabumi Asahi, hereinafter “Ushio”) is pleased to announce that it has received the Laser Industry Award for Excellent Product for its red multi-beam laser diode (2, 4, and 8-beam laser diode [LD]) for printers in the 17th Industry Award of The Laser Society of Japan for fiscal year 2025.
Commercialization of “HL63723DG”, a 640nm wavelength range red laser diode with an extended high-temperature operating range up to 85°C
Ushio Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Ushio") has completed development of the HL63723DG laser diode (LD) for automotive and sensor applications that require high temperature operation.
Ushio releases the world highest optical output power of 400mW at 405nm wavelength, single-mode laser diode.
In December of 2024 Ushio started sample shipments of the HL40213MG, a single-mode laser diode (LD) with the industry's highest optical output power of 400mW in the 405nm wavelength band, which has stable beam quality over a wide operating temperature range (-5°C to 85°C). In March of 2025, we are also planning to offer samples of the HL40211MG, a LD with a built-in photodiode (PD) for monitoring optical output power of the same series.
Ushio Inc will be exhibiting at SPIE Photonics West 2025, held from January 28 to 30, 2025, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, USA. SPIE Photonics West is the world's largest exhibition in the field of photonics, where the cutting-edge technologies and products are in one place. Please visit our booth and have a look at our latest technologies and products.
Measurement and inspection accuracy and reproducibility are becoming more and more important in manufacturing, as they are directly linked to higher productivity, better quality, and cost reduction. In particular, displacement sensors using lasers with excellent light focusing and pointing characteristics are necessary in processes such as thickness and shape measurement, which require non-contact, high-precision measurement at the µm (micrometer) level. Since laser displacement sensors are suitable for measuring microscopic dimensions such as wafer thickness and electrode thickness, as well as substrate height, gap, and cross-sectional shape, they are used in a wide range of applications such as measurement and inspection of brake disc displacement, engine vibration in automotive applications, and so on.
Ushio launched 785nm, 200mW high-power, high-reliability infrared laser diode for life science applications
Tokyo, Japan – October 2024 – Ushio Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Ushio") is pleased to announce the development and release of the HL78002MG, a high-performance infrared laser diode (LD) designed for life science applications. With an optical output power of 200mW, a wavelength of 785nm, and a focus on high reliability and superior beam quality, this LD is developed to meet the high demands of fields such as Raman spectroscopy and indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence imaging in medical applications.
Ushio Launches High Power Red Laser Diodes with World's Highest Optical Output Power 4.2 W Pulsed
Ushio Inc. has developed the "HL63680HD," red laser diodes (LDs) for projectors that achieve the world's highest optical output power of 4.2 W pulsed*1 at wavelength of 638 nm*2. Shipments are scheduled to commence in February 2024.
