Novel Coronavirus Measures
Ushio Inc. decided to actively implement a teleworking and flexible working hours system, and to refrain from holding and attending events in order to reduce the likelihood of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection and ensure the safety of our employees.
■Overview of the Measures
1. Working arrangements
-Implement use of flexible working hours to avoid rush hour congestion and abolish core working time
-Actively use the teleworking system
2. Attendance at meetings, seminars and business trips
-Prohibit non-essential and non-urgent domestic and international business trips
-Prohibit the holding of events and seminars attended by large numbers of people
-Refrain from attending meetings, events and seminars (attended by roughly 10 people or more) outside the office
-Refrain from attending parties
3. In case of possible infection
-Stay at home until a doctor’s approval is given to return to the office
-An employee who has been in close contact with an infected employee must stay at home for at least two weeks, regardless of
symptoms (work from home if the situation allows)
-If an infection is confirmed, all employees at that office must wear a mask for at least two weeks
-If a family member living with an employee is infected, the employee must stay at home for at least two weeks
(work from home if the situation allows)

Thursday, February 27, 2020 to Tuesday, March 31, 2020

to take necessary measures.
