System for Promoting Environmental Management

The sustainability Committee, chaired by the company president, is the top decision-making body for environmental activities at Ushio. Under the CSR Committee are issue-specific committees, that promote activities at the worksite level.
The matters decided by each committee are notified to the business divisions and Group companies via the General Affairs and Risk Management Office and the Ushio Green Network.
Each division and Group company promotes environmental activities independently and works to advance Phase Five of the Environmental Action Plan.

Progress management of environmental action plans

Ushio has a CSR Committee that is chaired by the president. The CSR committee makes progress reports on the three-year Environmental Action Plan and shares upcoming challenges, while continuing to go through the PDCA cycle. Directly beneath this CSR Committee is the Global Warming Countermeasure Subcommittee, which specifically promotes initiatives that include the CSR Action Plan and the Environmental Action Plan.
We set policies related to energy saving and 3R activities each business site in order to incorporate the environmental action plans and the PDCA cycle is run by utilizing the ISO system.
