The cinema server is a DCI-compliant dedicated digital cinema playback device that allows screening of all DCP compressed and encrypted data including video, audio, and credits. Many other works besides movies are also being screened as DCP ODS (Other Digital Stuff), including theater arts, musical performances and sports events. Although 2K is currently the mainstream standard, flexible support is provided for the looming 4K demand.
